Certified training programs
This type of training is aimed at preparing people to carry out trades and occupations required by the productive and social sectors, to the purpose of satisfying the needs of the new talent or the qualification of workers –linked or not to the labor market- in the operational, technical or technological levels. The length of such programs varies from 880 to 3520 hours, and includes the following phases:
Schooling Stage: Period during which the student is involved in Global Professional Training activities in classrooms and other settings required for the achievement of learning outcomes. This period is determined in accordance with the curriculum design of the various training programs.
Productive Stage: Period during which the student applies the knowledge, skills and abilities developed during the Schooling Stage. In this phase, the company takes part in the training of the student, and the support and counseling is critical to achieve the established training objectives, based on criteria and specific strategies.
Technological: A training program seeking apprentices to acquire socio-affective and cognitive communicative skills to apply the technical and technological knowledge towards solving strategic problems of the area, and to coordinate and oversee interdisciplinary activities in the fields of art and technology, to organize and handle resources, to manage productive projects, to communicate ideas, to answer for the results of their work and the work of others who are under their control, and to ethically assume the social and organizational roles within their environment. It likewise aims to developing the necessary measures to ensure the interaction of the scientific with the instrumental environment, and the operational skills with technological know-how. Duration: 24 months
Virtual Training
SENA offers 250 programs of virtual training and formation for all Colombians. Anyone can gain access to these programs, on a free basis, at any time.
SENNOVA
The purpose of same is to strengthen the standards of quality and relevance, in the areas of research, technological development and innovation, vocational training at the Institution.
Bilingual SENA
SENA offers free virtual bilingual formation courses, created for the educational provision to be properly connected to the needs of the labor market.
The courses offered correspond to levels A1 (beginners), A2 (basic) and B1 (pre-intermediate). The formations will allow students to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and simple, frequently used phrases, related to the immediate context (family, shopping, places of interest, employment). In addition, students will be able to produce and understand texts.
The levels consist of three courses of 60 hours each, for which a daily commitment of two hours is being suggested to be able and take advantage of the learning process.
